Celebrity Chef Robert Irvine spent the day with Comcast Business and Xfinity customers recently at the Third Avenue shopping district in Burlington. Chef Irvine is a daytime talk show host on the CW and restaurant owner, but he’s best known for his work on the Food Network with landmark shows such as Restaurant Impossible and Chopped. He’s also well known for his philanthropic work with the military community and his passion for fitness has led to the publication of his first book, “Fit Fuel.’’
After signing autographs and giving away copies of the book at the Burlington Xfinity Store, Chef Irvine visited with Comcast Business customers including The Bancroft, the Redstone Grill and Bedford Farms Ice Cream where he had the opportunity to meet staff, surprise some guests and talk about the importance of technology in the hospitality industry.
“Chef Irvine’s visit added a lot of fun to our day and Chef Diego truly enjoyed showing him our kitchen operation,’’ said Amy Severino, director of marketing for the Webber Restaurant Group, which includes The Bancroft. “While our team is often able to flex their culinary talent muscles, it was very special and exciting for Chef Diego to receive praise from a celebrity chef like Robert Irvine who is held in such high regard.”
Added Richard Brackett, general manager of The Bancroft: “Comcast including us in this event only further strengthens the client-vendor relationship. It being a culinary driven event proves they care about my business model, in addition to my communications needs.”
