The Four Seasons Private Residences One Dalton Street, Boston, Partners with Comcast to Offer Xfinity’s Highest Performance Internet Amenity

Boston’s new premier address will be the first multi-unit development project in the City offering residents access to up to two Gigabit internet service from Xfinity Communities

Xfinity Communities today announced that The Four Seasons Private Residences One Dalton Street, Boston, will offer its residents the ability to select robust technology packages of high-performance internet, video and phone for their condominiums. Delivered over a high-capacity fiber network to each residence, individuals will have access to multi-gigabit-per-second (gbps) internet speeds through Xfinity’s Advanced Communities Network (ACN) along with comprehensive video and phone services.

Rising 742 feet above Boston, One Dalton will feature 160 luxury condominiums and a 215-room five-star Four Seasons hotel. Upon completion in 2018, the architectural landmark will redefine the city’s skyline, setting a new standard for luxury living in Boston. Developed by Carpenter & Company, the building was designed by architect Henry N. Cobb, in collaboration with Cambridge Seven Associates while the residential lobby, public and amenity spaces were curated by legendary designer Thierry Despont. In planning the residential amenity options, Carpenter & Company selected firms, such as Comcast’s Xfinity Communities, to provide services to go along with the unique architecture and craftsmanship of the building.

“One Dalton represents the finest standard of living in Boston, from the unique design to the carefully planned residential services,” said Richard Friedman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Carpenter & Company. “Technology is an integral part of everyday life and we chose Comcast as our solutions provider for its high-performance internet services. We also want our residents to enjoy five-star amenities in the comfort of their home.”

The condominiums at One Dalton will have fiber connections built into each unit, offering up to a 1 Gbps connection with the option to upgrade to faster speeds of up to 2 Gbps, which would enable downloads of a two-hour movie in 20 seconds or a 30-minute television show in two seconds. It is the first such building in Boston to have Xfinity 2 Gbps fiber built into its infrastructure. Residents can customize their service packages by selecting Xfinity TV, Xfinity Voice, Xfinity WiFi and the next-generation entertainment capabilities of the X1 Platform, which combines live TV, thousands of on-demand movies and shows, DVR recordings at home or on the go and tailor made apps including Netflix and YouTube. Earlier this year, Comcast launched Xfinity xFi, a new way for customers to personalize, monitor and control their home Wi-Fi, including the ability to instantly pause Wi-Fi connectivity by user or device.  And, the full suite of Xfinity apps provides additional value for customers. For example, the Xfinity Stream app features more than 150 live networks along with access to DVR recordings and On Demand programs on the go, and the Xfinity My Account app helps customers manage their account and appointments, pay bills, do basic troubleshooting, receive alerts and even track technician visits in real time.

“Located in Boston’s prestigious Back Bay, One Dalton will redefine luxury living for the City with residents enjoying a service-rich lifestyle that was unheard of before,” said Tracy Pitcher, Senior Vice President for Comcast’s Greater Boston region. “Comcast is working closely with One Dalton to provide high-capacity technologies along with our exceptional customer service so residents can choose services for their units that are as remarkable as the building itself.”
