Comcast today announced a new season of programs available as part of Celtics On Demand on Xfinity TV in partnership with the Boston Celtics and NBC Sports Boston. The partnership will once again deliver Celtics fans wall-to-wall coverage of the team, ranging from behind-the-scenes features to entire game replays.
Celtics On Demand is available exclusively to Xfinity TV customers to put fans in control and give them access to in-depth coverage of the team and players, as well as press conferences and off the court community events. The Celtics are once again partnering with ELEMENT Productions and also with Nash Pictures to deliver unique video content where fans have the opportunity to get to know the players, take a front row seat at Celtics Head Coach Brad Stevens’ post-game press conferences, and “Learn from the Pros” through instructional videos with Celtics players and coaches. Furthermore, Celtics On Demand enables fans to tune into replays of NBC Sports Boston game telecasts within two hours of each game’s conclusion. Games are available On Demand for 24 hours.
Viewers will be provided with new content including behind the scenes with players at community events, magazine cover shoots, building of the Auerbach Center and Celtics Dancers features. Fans and viewers can also celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the Celtics 2008 Championship with content including exclusive interviews with members of the 2007-08 team, and archival footage from that historical season.
Celtics On Demand programming is updated regularly and is available around the clock with the ability to pause, fast forward and rewind selections for Xfinity TV customers in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. It’s easy to access by saying “Celtics On Demand” with the X1 Voice Remote or by selecting “Xfinity Services,” then “Get Local” and choosing “Celtics On Demand.” For game replays and other NBC Sports Boston content, viewers can then select the “NBC Sports Boston” category. As with the vast majority of Xfinity TV’s 100,000 On Demand programs available each month, Celtics On Demand comes at no additional cost to the company’s TV customers.
“We’re excited to once again team up with Xfinity in providing our great fan base with both the constant and unique access that Celtics On Demand content can offer,” said Celtics Team President Rich Gotham. “This content covers the team both on and off the court from a variety of angles, allowing fans the opportunity to really get to know this new-look Celtics team in a way you couldn’t do anywhere else.”
“Celtics On Demand keeps fans connected to the Celtics, with can’t-miss features and full game replays that bring them all of the action on or off the court,” said Tracy Pitcher, Senior Vice President of Comcast’s Greater Boston Region. “My thanks to the Celtics and NBC Sports Boston for teaming up with us to provide a great sports experience for our customers for a ninth season.”
