We love sharing stories about our employees and products, and most especially about our great employees. We’re proud of our talented, highly trained and diverse local workforce.
Recently, The Boston Globe profiled Lauren Bonsignore, one of our technicians out of South Boston as part of its weekly “On The Job” series here. Lauren talks about what it’s like to be a tech sharing a snapshot of her typical day. For example, as Lauren puts it “Not only are we doing troubleshooting and installations but teaching customers how to use all the new devices. People are either very skeptical because I’m a woman or they think I’m a tech whiz who knows it all. I’ve even helped install printer cartridges – I’m not going to say no to a request if I can help it.”
In fact, we have more than 200 women in technical operations in our New England footprint alone. We wanted to take this opportunity to go “behind the scenes” and show you some videos featuring three female technicians from the Greater Boston Region.
As Lauren says in her video below, “It’s never a dull day. I get to be the ambassador for the company since I’m usually the first person someone interacts with in person from Comcast.”
Our goal is that these stories inspire a wide array of talented applicants to join our award-winning work environment. As our HR colleagues like to say, “Imagine the Possibilities”. For example, as a technician at Comcast, you’ll have the power to grow your career in ways you never thought possible thanks to a dedicated and progressive career path we offer to high-performing employees.
At Comcast, one of our top operating principles is diversity and inclusion. Among our D&I priorities, we have an ongoing focus on hiring women into the company and promoting high potential, talented women.
We’re continuing to hire and love to hear from talented individuals at https://jobs.comcast.com/.
