Ready for the Big Game

We’re looking forward to Sunday, both as football fans ourselves and as your service and entertainment provider. Ahead of any big TV moment, including major sporting events, we do everything we can to prepare, and this Sunday’s showdown between the Patriots and Rams is no exception.

For example, we increased staffing at our Network Operations Center (NOC) in Chelmsford, which is our command center for our engineers and technicians throughout New England, to ensure that our customers are receiving the products and services they expect.  Inside the NOC, the team constantly monitors the health of the network and intervenes as needed to remedy an issue or dispatch technicians to a specific area.  If an issue does arise, we’re ready with double the usual number of fiber restoration crews just in case they’re needed.

Tips for X1 Customers

While we’re working on our end to keep things running smoothly, you can enjoy the game and some special features with your friends and family at home. Just in time for Sunday, we’ve added some new and notable X1 Voice Remote commands.

Here are some of our favorite voice commands to make sure you’re ready for the big game:

  • See all the game day content and highlights by saying “NFL.” Once in the NFL section, enjoy comprehensive highlights from each game this season for both the Patriots and the Rams
  • Learn more about the players by saying, “Show me Julian Edelman,” “Show me Rams leaders,” or “Who is number 16 on the Rams.”
  • Plus, prep for your party and find the best snack recipes by saying, “Show me wings recipes on YouTube.”

And for more tips on maximizing your X1 game day experience, check out additional information here.

Our X1 Voice Remotes are also ready for the Patriots-Rams showdown. To pick up a remote skin to show your team spirit, stop by one of our Xfinity Stores in the Greater Boston Region.
