Our employees are at the heart of everything we do here at Comcast in Greater Boston – from providing a best-in-class customer experience to delivering the products and services that help you stay connected, entertained and informed.
We sat down with Paulette N., a Community Account Representative and native Bostonian, to hear more about her role partnering with property managers for large apartment and condo buildings to connect tenants with the things that matter most to them.
Q: What is your current role and how long have you been with Comcast?
A: I’ve worked at Comcast for seven years and currently work with property managers and local residents to help them find which Xfinity products are right for them, including Xfinity Internet and Xfinity Mobile.
Q: What is your favorite part about your job?
A: Hosting events, especially to build awareness of Comcast’s Internet Essentials program and our participation in the federal government’s Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which provides eligible customers with a credit of up to $30 per month to help pay for Internet service. What’s great is that this can be combined with offerings like our Internet Essentials or Internet Essentials Plus services to provide residents with discounted or free services after the credit is applied.
I love seeing customers’ faces after they’ve applied online and get a notification that tells them they have been approved for the Affordable Connectivity Program. Being raised by a single mom, I know firsthand how much of a difference a program like ACP can make to families.
Q: What is your favorite Xfinity product?
A: I’m a huge fan of Xfinity Mobile! With two teenage girls and a family constantly on the go, it’s great having a reliable service to text, use our favorite apps and not have to worry about data usage with the pay by the gig or unlimited options.
Q: What do you like to do outside of your role in your free time?
A: First, it’s sports – whether it’s youth basketball for the girls or kicking back and watching Boston sports. And then it’s volunteering as a family at Rosie’s Place as often as we can because it’s so important to give back to the community.
We are proud to have diverse, dedicated team members playing pivotal roles in every aspect of our business, and we continue to adapt to the needs of our workforce. It has led us to be recognized on as a top 10 company on DiversityInc.’s Top 50 list and more.
